This person will maintain water activity safety as their top priority ensuring a safe and fun water experience for staff and campers.
When not overseeing the pool and fulfilling lifeguard duties, the program rover will assist the program coordinator in all aspects of camp activities and program.
This may involve assisting with activity set-up, leading activities, planning activities and providing additional support to the rec.
ranger interns as needed.
The Counselor will join with other staff in a high-level commitment to provide an excellent quality of life for the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities served through Ranch programming.
Typical work schedule is Sunday through Friday This position is expected to be filled from May 22nd until July 28th.
REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years old with one year of college preferred Complete a background check, drug test and TB test Lifeguard certification or willingness to obtain during training Prior activity development and implementation experience preferred Abstain from tobacco, alcohol and drug use during your camp contract Enjoy being outdoors for extended periods of time Performs other duties and responsibilities, as assigned Reasonable Accommodations Statement To accomplish this job successfully an individual must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, each essential function satisfactorily.
