We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Job Coach to join our team at Down Home Ranch, focusing on innkeeping.
As a Job Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with IDD as they learn and develop skills related to innkeeping and hospitality.
You will work closely with our participants, providing individualized coaching and guidance to help them succeed in this unique and rewarding field.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with ranchers to identify their interests, strengths, and career goals within the field of innkeeping and hospitality.
Provide personalized coaching and support to ranchers in all aspects of innkeeping, including housekeeping, guest services, and administrative tasks.
Assist ranchers in developing essential job skills, such as communication, customer service, attention to detail, and time management.
Foster a supportive and inclusive work environment that encourages participation and growth for individuals with IDD.
Conduct regular assessments to track participant progress, identify areas for improvement, and develop tailored training plans.
Maintain accurate records of participant goals, activities, and achievements.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Previous experience working in the hospitality industry, preferably in innkeeping or hotel management.
Experience working with individuals with IDD or other disabilities in a vocational or educational setting.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with ranchers, guests, and colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Knowledge of disability rights laws, accommodations, and assistive technologies is desirable.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
