Maintenance Mechanic

Acme Brick (a Berkshire Hathaway Company) is an organization of professionals in the manufacturing and building material distribution industry. Summary: Accountable for the care and maintenance of all property and production assets in a safe and efficient manner. Responsible for staying up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure operation of machinery and equipment by completing maintenance requirements on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems

  • Read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and handling equipment in performing duties

  • Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory

  • Follow all required work safe practices including lock-out tag-out requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and other standards

  • Knowledge of power/hand tools

  • Communication skills

  • Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
